Our Goals
The goal of this program is to ensure that all students will have an individualized plan for life after high school.
Students will:

Demonstrate an increase in completing the application process to institutions of higher learning, vocational, technical or certification programs.

Demonstrate an understanding of pathways to accomplish career goals.

Demonstrate an understanding of types of schools to determine which cater to participants needs.

Demonstrate an understanding of college entrance exams, sub scores and composite scores.

Demonstrate an understanding of Federal Student Aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Demonstrate an understanding of types of scholarship opportunities offered to students from local, state and national providers.

Demonstrate an understanding of college terminology.

Demonstrate an understanding of time management and organizational setting by meeting deadlines to successfully complete student plans.

Demonstrate an understanding of admission requirements to enroll in an institute of higher learning.

Demonstrate an understanding of transcript evaluation by requesting, receiving and analyzing high school transcripts for college entrance requirements.

Demonstrate an understanding of evaluating campuses when visited.
Evaluation of Services
The Next Chapter will evaluate the outcomes and goals of services provided through pre-and-post surveys, verbal feedback, participants’ active contributions to the targeted projects and plans.
